Dissemination activities
The main target audiences of W2W are the scientific and operational communities (i.e. mostly the research departments of weather services). W2W strives to continue its high level of activity with respect to research publications in high-ranked scientific journals and contributions to national and international conferences and workshops. In addition, W2W aims to reflect the added value of a large and interdisciplinary consortium in dedicated science dissemination, e.g., through multi-author overview and review articles on key research topics in W2W and through dedicated workshops for enhanced knowledge exchange. For specific research areas with potential for practical application, DFG-funded Transfer Projects offer a powerful way to integrate scientific results into operational procedures (e.g. the T1 project with ARPAE Emilia Romagna).
